Nursery Fee Policy

Truly Scrumptious Early Years Nursery

1. Securing a Nursery Place

Once a nursery place has been offered, parents/carers are required to:

  • Complete and sign a registration form and contract

  • Pay a refundable deposit to confirm the place – (Please note that the deposit is refundable at the end of the child / children’s  journey providing a 4 week written notice is given and there are no outstanding fees.)


2. Deposit Amounts

The deposit required is based on the number of days per week your child is booked to attend:

2 days £250
3 days £300
4 days £350
5 days £400

Please Note: Deposits are held for the duration of your child’s placement and are returned after your final invoice is cleared, subject to the notice period and any outstanding balances.


3. Deposit Refund Conditions

  • A £25 administration fee will be deducted from the deposit if the place is cancelled or withdrawn before the child’s start date.

  • Parents must provide 4 weeks’ written notice to terminate their contract.

  • All outstanding fees must be paid in full before any deposit is returned.


4. Nursery Fees

  • Full Day (7:30am – 6:30pm): £83.00

  • Half Day (AM 7:30am – 1:00pm or PM 1:00pm – 6:30pm): £52.50

The nursery operates 51 weeks per year, closing for one week at Christmas and on all Bank Holidays. These closure days are still chargeable.


5. Fee Payment Terms

  • Fees are payable monthly in advance, by the 1st of each month via:

    • Standing order

    • Cash

    • Cheque

    • Childcare vouchers or Tax-Free Childcare

  • Monthly Fee Calculation Formula:
    £83.00 x number of weekly sessions x 52 weeks ÷ 12 months


6. Non-Attendance, Holidays & Sickness

  • Fees remain payable during periods of:

    • Child sickness

    • Family holidays

    • Bank Holidays and other closures

No refunds or discounts will be given for non-attendance.


7. Late or Outstanding Payments

  • Fees must be paid by the 5th working day of each month.

  • Late payments will incur:

    • £10 fixed fine, plus 5% of the outstanding balance per day thereafter

Payment Recovery Process:

  1. First Reminder:
    A reminder invoice, fee statement, and a 7-day payment notice will be issued.

  2. Second Reminder:
    If payment is not received, a second letter will be sent, stating that:

    • Your child cannot attend nursery until the balance is paid in full

    • A 10% administration fee will be added

  3. Final Action:
    If payment remains outstanding, your child’s place will be terminated, and the debt will be referred to a collection agency.


8. Summary

  • A deposit is required to confirm your child’s place

  • Deposits are refunded subject to proper notice and account settlement

  • Fees must be paid in full and in advance

  • Late fees and non-payments will be pursued formally
